Make a short film!

That’s the conclusion I draw from reading the entirety of Mark Mayerson’s master’s thesis (he posted the final installment on it today). Of course I am making a distinction between creating a performance and contributing to one.

Head over there, it's a good read and he makes a valid point. Often times the studio that you're doing the movie for has a whole committee of people making decisions and the animation direction you're getting pinballs off so many people that everything gets diluted and confusion reigns once they see the finished animation. Everybody wants to be the director.
